Welcome to Burrow and Thistle. We’re so glad you’re here.

I thought and prayed for a long while before settling on Burrow and Thistle as a name to work under, but I loved the symbolism behind it, and inevitably it was the only choice I could stand behind.

To “burrow” is to “dig in,” but a burrow in itself is a resting place: A home; a bit of safety among the thickets and thorns.  I loved the idea of “digging in” and “finding home.”

More than that, though, I wanted to embrace the thorns and the thistle, understanding full well that we are called to suffer, and suffer well, as we take on the suffering that Christ endured for us on the cross. I want to be as in love with the rough edges of life as I am with the soft ones.  I have always written poems about these things, but never have I danced with them through pictures.

This is a new chapter. A new adventure.

I hope you'll join me.
